One Day of Web Interactions
In today’s world, almost all of us use the internet on a daily basis. I am no exception to this rule. I used to mostly use the internet for social media and to watch videos and movies online, but now I use the internet for nearly all of my classes. Whether in the form of Zoom calls for classes or for research for a paper, the internet is an essential part of my academic life. This is strongly reflected in the day I chose to document. Especially when I read articles like “Skim Reading Is the New Normal. The Effect on Society Is Profound.” by Maryanne Wolf about how technology can effect our brain and how it shortens our attention span for example making it harder for us to actually focus on a long term task, it makes me wonder what negative effects too much screen time could have on me. However in today’s world I do feel like it is hard to limit your screen usage beyond a certain point.
